It's that time of year when many of us slow down, and although we're not slowing down at the shop, we imagine many of you savoring precious vacation days or eagerly anticipating a trip that awaits you. New Arrivals.

New canvases land on our doorstep nearly every day, and today we are sharing just a few of our recent arrivals. These just-in-the-door pieces may not yet appear on our website, but you may make a brand new canvas yours by emailing us at info@hillsideneedlearts.com, stopping by, or calling us at 443-548-3691 and leaving a message. We will get back to you promptly and set aside your canvas until you visit or we ship it to your home.

Pack your bags.

We stitch in anticipation of travel, to keep our hands busy while we travel, and to create heirlooms that embody lasting memories of the places and people we've visited. This big beauty (or its Paris or New York companions) can transport you while you sit in the comfort of your favorite stitching chair.

Smaller Traveling Companions

Tuck one of these smaller canvases into your bag to pass the time as you travel. When you come home, you'll have a wonderful treasure that will evoke memories of your trip for years to come.

If your travels take you to a sandy shore rather than a bustling city, we also have you covered - literally. Stitch a fun band for your hat or an ornament for your bag to make it uniquely yours. The hat, the bag, the band, and a variety of ornaments are available in the shop and for shipping.

While most of us can only aspire to be as tidy as Marie Kondo, we all share her appreciation for the measureless meaning of mementos. Each time we look at them, objects stitched to commemorate a trip, whether to another country or closer to home, take us back to the places and people we have visited. We adorn our walls with and deck our Christmas trees in ornaments that bear witness to our travels, and we stitch luggage tags and passport covers as we anticipate future trips. Simply put, we stitch mementos to keep our memories alive. We are always happy to help you choose your next treasure.

Shop scheduling note: The shop will be closed from Saturday, August 27 through Saturday, September 3. We will resume our usual hours on Wednesday, September 7.
